Tiesha Renee Perry is a published author with a Bachelor’s in English Creative Writing from Florida State University. A native to the Sunshine State, Tiesha spent her formative years after graduation composing and performing poetry across the state. Crediting her ambition to the support of the A.M.E. Church (African Methodist Episcopal) Ms. Perry poured her talents back into the Black Heritage arts, contributing whatever she could, whenever she could.

After several years of volunteering and working partial time as a paraprofessional in the Alachua County School system, Ms. Perry, affectionately known as Miss Ti, settled into a classroom teacher position under the tutelage of Mrs. Charmaine Henry, principal of Genesis Preparatory School Inc. Teaching was her life during her years at the chartered school. Seeing her class through graduation from the school was a proud moment indeed. Her restless spirit and desire to compose new poetry and short stories inspired by wilderness led her to an adventurous stint inside Yellowstone National Park.

Two years surrounded in breathtaking natural beauty and a peaceful break from a world quickly overindulging in screens and technology, was all it took to convince Tiesha a move out West was just what she needed. Primary child care was her way to have her cake and eat it to. As a nanny to a handful of families in Montana, her experiences and talents were put to an excellent use. The move to Missoula, Montana has finely tuned the woman that is The Black Nanny.
